    Hey there Psx-Scene,

Kuriimu is a program that I designed to be a flexible tool for the purposes of fan translating games, apps, etc... and the flexibility is attained through plugins! (DLL files developed by programmers.)

    Want to talk about it?
If you would like to reach out to me to discuss Kuriimu and/or writing plugins for it, I can be reached most easily on the Fan Translators Inc. discord (which I run) here:

The Phat Twins - Separated at Birth
When the PlayStation 3 was released from its cage and released upon Japan and North America in Nov 2006, it featured near flawless backwards compatibility with PS1 and PS2 games - having the core PS2 hardware built in.

Four months later, Europe would be celebrating their PS3 launch in March of 2007 - but it was to be bitter-sweet, for they were to receive the second generation of PS3's that had slightly neutered backwards compatibility.

The internet was fast and merciless, and quickly condemned this new abomination as inferior, prompting many hardcore fans to pay obscene fees to import the "real deal" from far away lands.
As they say though...every cloud has a silver lining, and we here at psx-scene have discovered a little tidbit that the second gen system had up its sleeve; but first though, a little bit of back history.

Lets roll the clock back to the year 2000:

The first thing any user's in the community should know, you can't trust every website that post news. There are sites that open purely for the money they think they can generate off a site, but when they realize it takes ALOT of work and EFFORT to make something off a website, so then usually they have to result in various ways to make the income they want off a site. So for some of these shady sites like PSXHAX.COM (which they love that promotion right there, good or bad its pageclicks and i will be more then happy to show some of the quotes the website owner has been saying, but the biggest problem with this website is they will post FAKE NEWS , SCAMS (that take donations) , Dangerous files that will harm your hardware such as brickware (another link) To this day this site has dangerous files like that still up that is very well known to cause bricks and created by someone with no experience, we seen this as far back as the PSP days when this site was editing CFW of devs and doing nothing but breaking it and bricking people devices, while that was long ago this site that has gone several name changes (same owner) throughout the years (PS3news,PS4news to name a couple of the previous names)

Developer @SP193 recently updated his HDLGameInstaller tool to v0.810. HDLGameInstaller is composed of a PS2 server and a PC program (named HDLGManClient) that lets you install your PS2 games into your PS2 internal HDD - using your PS2 CD/DVD drive or over network. It also installs miniOPL/diskload (based on OPL v0.9.3) into the game partition header, making them bootable from HDDOSD. Read the readme.txt (or SP193 homepage) for more infos.

Developer deank? You guys have heard of him right? Well the developer has been back in action of late and not only doing the usual maintenance updates for firmware support, but the dev has been developing new features and that is always exciting to see. In the webMAN plugin, (the original version unofficially refereed as webMAN vanilla), not to be confused with the webMAN MOD (fork by aldostools) plugin with is another excellent plugin that is a built from webMAN but offers some other features. In recent updates from this past week deank adds new NTFS support (no longer needing prepNTFS (v1.0) for external drives and also a new way of loading games from the XMB that no longer will use the web browser (the quick flash of the browser), check it out in the video example from deank (no more web browser flicker to load a game) along with the last couple of updates. ...
