[READ FIRST POST!][Free Service!]I can install fmcb for you!
This Post Is Updated Regularly! If you cannot read the first post in its entirety, we cannot and will not help you. So don't expect a reply for a question answered here.
ANY MEMBER WHO CANNOT FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES AS PER THIS POST ON PAGE ONE WILL NOW BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FOR LIFE NO IF ANDS OR BUTS ABOUT IT!
All i require is a blank memory card AND FOR YOU TO PAY POSTAGE BOTH WAYS!!!
no worries about me ripping you off i have 4 memory cards of my own so i don't need yours!
This is a service I'm doing for the community just like i used to make Pandora set's for people you can ask around the forums (the mods mostly) and they will tell you I'm a stand up guy so if your having trouble installing it or just cant seem to get the materials together to mod it...i will do it for you ^_^
Anyway like i said all i require is you send me your blank memory card
(don't wanna have to deal with backing up your saves to my hdd and then transferring them back and what not)
and for you to pay for postage both ways i live in Seminole Oklahoma
So Pm me if your interested ^_^
P.s. I should also include that i can only do installs for the USA as i have a U.S. console.
Our volunteers can install any programs you would like on your card.
In case you want an emulator, they will not include any roms.
That part is up to you.

Regarding shipping requirements, there is no exception to #1 and #2. If you can not comply with this, please do not use the service. If an installer gets a memory card with no return prepaid self addressed bubble envelope, they are to hold the card until you send money for them to buy the proper materials. I also ask them to refuse any memory card that has been shipped outiside the requirement specs. - bootlegninja
(Side Note Edited By Dangwoot.)
From now on cards can either be held onto or sent back COD at the most expensive options.
This only applies for peoples cards who have been in the installers hands for over a week awaiting postage due.

I don't need it done, but I'm curious to know if you have any references, as this smells something like a scam.

If I remember right, before the site crashed, he was offering a CFW install on PSP's when we had a PSP section that he moderated.

Free service
I have 4 different versions on memory cards and all working ....if your going to help people with the instal shouldn't you wait until the very last version is out.....
I am not making another memory card now until the last one ...when ever it comes out and is offical....this just makes more sense....to wait....For the final release???? Then they won't need to upgrade...

Even still. Not everyone who has a slim has access to a fat ps2. and even then, on the same note, to a complete n00b, just the process of installing the independence exploit on a fat ps2 can be daunting and taking over a week long since they know absolutely zero about ps2 homebrew. Then you have those who can't seem to even follow a single tutorial and then complain about not being able to accomplish anything.
So for some, the price of postage is well worth saving aggravation.

Here where i live, is not easy to find gameshark, even the game stores in here dont sell it, only games, consoles, and pelican/madcatz stuff

But you can install for other regions too? Or only US?
Well, anyway postage from/for other country is expensive I think.
I live in Brazil and have a 90010 (Mexico) console, and don't know ANYbody with a modded Mexico unit to build a MC for me. Just US and JAPAN.

@AndreMR: Get the MCID of your MC and try "Neme's Embedder/Embedding-Tools".
With that, you can create a valid osdmain.elf on your PC, but you need to get the mcid for your MC.
This means, you also need a way to run homebrew.

I was wonderin' why do we need a console to build MCID. If there was a way to get unique number form my memory card using US modded PS2, and build MCID with a Windows tool, with DVDELF from my region (Mexico/Latin America)... I could get a valid MCID for my model.

I'm not sure about that, because the MCID might differ.
I think you must be able, to get the MCID also on the same region.
Codebreaker & Co. might be your last choice.

yeah im pretty sure postage to other countries are rather expensive though im not sure its only a memory card and they dont weigh all that much would be something worth looking into...as for waiting for the newest version thats upto the person wanting it done they can either wait for the new version or just say to heck with it and get it done now then upgrade themselves.

If someone just sends you the memory card, might your install not work on their PS2? Maybe they have a newer slim model, or an older fat model from 8 years ago... Doesn't FMCB need to read the PS2's BIOS that it's installing on, so it will have the correct files?

No. It only needs the same MG-Region.
The last 2digits of the SCPH-Number show it.
e.g.: SCPH-70004 = MG-Region 04 (Europe)
The FMCB-Loader fit to the 75KB-DVDPLx from PS2-Slim-Models, so DVDPLx/DVDELF-Dumps from these "PStwo"s should be the best choice for best "experience" with FMCB.
FMCB 1.6 has very short loading-times with these,...
"Multi-Install" should work on all PS2-Versions of the same MG-Region.

So on the FMCB GUI, you do have to use "Multi-Version" install instead of "Normal Install" to be sure it will work on all PS2s? What is the disadvantage of this?
I have always used "Normal Install" on my cards which are only used on the PS2 on which I installed.
Thanks

The boot-time might be a few milli-seconds longer, but afaik that's it.
I couldn't find any disadvantages.
But you should remember, that the files beside osdmain.elf are dummies.
All files-names, which are shown link to the same files (sectors on mc).

I agree with you there.
Talk about trusting, I purchased a memor32 for someone, flashed it and sent it too them. They paid me of course before I sent it.
I also recently installed the fmcb on a 8mb mc for someone in Florida and it only cost $2 to ship it too them.
I only pay $10 for Sony 8mb mc so only cost them $12 to have the fmcb with ESR
Then I told him to make sure and make another mc install in case something were to go wrong.
I just wanted to help them out.
Neither of these fellows had friends who could do it for them.
