Noobie help quiz

Hey, Im new to this

I just wanted to ask a few quiz about PS2.

1.I have a problem with my old fat ps2 because the laser is getting old and worn out. My ps2 model is schp-30002 and the laser model is KHS-400B. Should I get the right laser for my ps2 or just get the different laser to fit it like KHS-400C? ( I know it's a different laser but it's worth to take the risk.)

2.About ESR program, What's does 'Launch App' button do? does it launch mega drive emulator or is it just to watch the movie?

3. How can i find HD Loader? because I can't find them anywhere on buy sell online or online shopping. Is anybody got idea where i can get the hd loader?

Thanks in advance

Answer 1 : Make sure the laser you buy matches the kinda same model, of the one your replacing. FAT/Slim

Answer 2 : ESR is the expliot it's self that allows the PS2 to run a patched back game. It has nothing to to do with mega drive emulator.

To watch movies you need SMS (Simple Media System).

Answer 3 : And find HDLoader? HDLoader is becoming a dead app, there is a new one OPL ( Open PlayStation Loader).

And if you really want HDLoader, you DO NOT NEED buy it... Find it here on the site..

easiest answer is to let me install FMCB for you then you wont need a laser at all. you could either use a network adaptor if you can find one and add a IDE HDD or you can use OPL through either network or a usb HDD. many answers if you search. if you stil want HDLoader you can get 0.8c from the FMCB noobie package.

mate you will still need a network adaptor to put an IDE HDD in your PS2. if you have that then OPL is the best answer cause you can then play from the HDD or from a share over network. no laser required. all you need is FMCB installed on a card and a network adaptor and a IDE HDD.

Yeah, I think you're right, spud. my bad. I'm still looking for network adaptor to install on my ps2 but it would be hard to get one. I didn't know HD Loader was just app. i have already install fmcboot on my memory card for the last a couple weeks. my bad. I just checking OPL out and it's looks really good. far better than USB Advance. Sorry, mate. I'm learning how to use fmcboot. I will have look other forums to find some useful things. Thanks for your help, guys

Nope FMCB is installed and ran from MC.

Now you can run the .ELF files from other media, CD,DVD, USB, IDE, HDD.
Using ULe.
