We previously reported, that graf_chokolo was successful in decrypting lv2_kernel.self and other files. Today, he has released this payload to the public, so they can also decrypt these files.

Here's a small app I made in a few minutes. It's completely untested as I have no access to a PS3 until Monday and thus may not work at all, so feedback would be appreciated.

shuffle2 has just informed us he has finished his Rockbox port of PSFreedom, which adds downgrade/service mode support. This means owners of iPod devices, can now put their PS3 into service mode and downgrade.

The fleet of dongles with downgrade support, continues to increase. We have received an email from EcliPS3, announcing the Beta release, of their PS3 downgrader. This is currently a beta release, with a full release coming tomorrow.

I just received an email from P3Go saying they they have a downgrader for their device now too... It's amazing how quick these are all coming out thanks to the unencrypted release of PSGrade.
