YDL 5.0 networking issues

I have been researching on this and i havent found a solution.

I am trying to get my D-Link wireless gameing adapter (2.4 GHz) to work on my ps3 period. But i can get it to. i have it set up as DCHP, and my ps3 is set up to get the ip/dns auto.. (currently using Wifi as i have an access point in my basement.) my d-link is set up correctly as i know it is. But for some reason it isnt able to getout. I tried under just the ps3 os to use my d link adapter but i cant get it to work. but it works like a charm on my xbox360.
I tried to ping my pc on my network but it doesnt recieve the packets. but it can ping its self (eh)

Any suggestions? as i do not want to tank my ps3 into the pc store (basement). maybe there is a way to install the file from a memory stick? I tried to mount on several things, but can not seem to get it to mount onto the cdrom, memory stick, usb hdd or a floppy drive (floppy keeps sending all sorts of babble and wont let any command type as it keeps re entering some line of code). (my father is the pc expert, he knows a lot about the Red hat linux, we even pulled out one of his linux bibles.)

Thanks in advance. -TR

Lol, you do know Yellow Dog doesnt support the PS3 WiFi adaptor don't you?

You must use wired ethernet in YDL.

- I have figured it out, the network card in the d-link isnt compatiable with the ps3 network card, unless hooked up to a router. Problem Solved!
