Ps3 with linux, fullscreen video?

I installed YDL, works stable but when I go watch a video (xvid, divx, etc...) in fullscreen with mplayer the video is out of sync with the audio, and also i seems like the video is a bit slower then it should be. Is there any player that doesnt have this issue. Im convince the problem is cause of the hardware (graphics acceleration being disabled), maybe theres a better video player.

Impossible, MPlayer is THE media player, none can touch it, none... (=

In a normal scenario (read: without crippled hardware) on X MPlayer can be used with the XV extension to do YUV to RGB colorspace conversion and image scaling, in other words, using the videocard HW to do CPU intensive tasks ("accelerated").

IMHO it's only a question of time, until someone will create an MPlayer's patch to do colorspace conversion and scaling with the SPUs...
