MythTV + PS3

I don't own a PS3 but I have a question...

If they have YDL, Fedora, and Gentoo working for the PS3, wouldn't you think it'd just be a matter of time before they "tweak" MythTV to work for PS3? After snoopin' around in their 'Hardware' section of the Wiki, there's a USB TV tuner that Hauppauge makes which could effectively turn the PS3 into a PVR. Thoughts, ideas, or feedback anyone?

The "only" drawback is the crippled video output: no 2D/3D acceleration, no XV support, no YUV hardware support, no XVMC hardware support, only the framebuffer. Maybe using the six spare SPU's (they are basically DSP) something could be done, but right now seems not ideal...

i saw somewhere that a guy had the "simpson's" playing on his gentoo install with VLC. looks promising.

man, i've tried compiling it like 3 times and i never got anywhere with it. i hope there's a guide or something for this but again, it's looking promising
