PS2 Save Conversion to PS3 Thread

i was just wondering if you have any really good game saves for Final Fantasy x that will work on the ps3 in psv file format?

if you have i wud like something like 100% completion please or something similar.

Has anyone ever tried to convert these saves in the opposite direction(PS3 to PS2)? I'm curious to if this can be done. I have both a PS3(unmodded) & a couple PS2's(both modded) & it would be great to be able to get all these current gen saves over to past gen. Thanks!

I can, but my ps3 has the swap switch mod. All u have to do is boot uLE on ps3 then copy the files on the ps3 virtual mc to a USB drive, then boot uLE on ps2, then copy files from USB to ps2 mc.

The problem is that I've not gotten into any homebrew or any other type modification on the PS3. I'm more curious right now to whether it could be done & I see how by previous post but until a modchip or hacking is full blown(available) on the PS3 I'm staying away from this myself. Thanks!

AFAIK the ps3 homebrew scene, linux aside, is not much. BD-J nes emulator and a few Java coded games. On the ps2 side of ps3, it's kind of like having a slim ps2 with infinite memory cards. The major emus work minus gameboy. The switch mod was just for kicks.......I got the 60GB ps3 in a pawn shop for $250. Bless old country folks.....

Well the swap mod gives you alot more options but you can launch ps2 homebrew without any modifications. you can just use SM 3.6 or higher and a compatible usb device to launch the elfs.
so you can use you your ps2 saves both ways using ulaunch.elf like stayhye said.
I personally think it´s a much better option then the ps2 memcard adaptor. I have one but never use it anymore.
