It lacks mouse accuracy, which is the most important thing for such an adapter. They couldn't reach the accuracy of the SJF, so they reduced the speed and added a speed setting. But now it's too slow and when you increase the speed, accuracy goes down. It's really nothing more than a cheap, crappy clone, even the manual is a straight copy.
SJF has both, accuracy and speed, it's just way better for a good mouse feeling.
best regards Jones23

Does anyone know if either of these devices is "detected" as a "cheat" in any of the SOCOM or other online FPS games? I wouldn't think so as it appears to just translate the keyboard and mouse calls, but I just want to make sure.
Thanks

No, I played Battlefield2 with it online just fine. It's just a normal Controller for the PS2, nothing else.

New Pseudo "Mouse and left analog stick" controller
Splitfish has a new controller coming out that has a pseudo "Mouse and left analog stick" design to it's controller. It plugs into the PS2 controller port and claims to be compatible with all games.
It will be selling at gamestop/EB.
Here's a link to their site if anyones interested.

Although you resurrected a long dead thread, you'll need to check the internet archives such as google's cache, or the internet archive (aka waybackmachine) or other archive sites. you might get lucky on it.

No problem. I saved a copy of the manual at the time, which I've attached to this reply. I tried the Internet Archive site out of curiosity, to see if it was still there, but since the original manual was uploaded as a ps2.zip file, it's not downloadable anymore. No harm in asking ;D...
I'm assuming you already purchased the Max Shooter. If you haven't, then you should look into getting the SmartJoy FRAG instead, since the Max Shooter apparently is just a cheap chinese copy of the SmartJoy FRAG. See Jones23's reply about this here.
EDIT: However, the original maker of the SmartJoy FRAG was Lik-Sang.com, which is now currently out of business, so I wouild expect there is now a limited supply of this product. Here's the Internet Archive product page for the SmartJoy FRAG (PS2), before it went offline.

Max Shooter PDF Manual
I decided to make a PDF version of the Max Shooter manual, since the original manual in *.JPG files were not as user friendly. I've included all 22 pages, minus the two blank pages, which were part of the original JPG manual. The image quality is only as good as the original *.JPGs, which were sized at 565 pixels. So if you zoom in this PDF document at 65%, it will match that original 565 pixel size.
