I have been told that to play a ps2 backup you need a ps2 original game, to play a ps1backup you need a ps1 original game, but what if I need to play a cd (not dvd) that I burned ? Because I downloaded gameshark and wanted to use it... How I do this ?
THanks in advance.

well 1st off, im not sure you should be asking for help with downloaded software.
2nd, you will need a mod-chip or an original swapdisc like swapmagic and then you could swap out the swapmagic for your backup.
you could also use a swapmagic elf file launched from usb ect... but you will still need any original game disc in the drive when you boot it, then you can swap out the game for your backup.
maybe you could follow some instructions on converting the cd to a dvd, then patch with esr... altho i have no idea if that would actually work.
or last... you could just find an ELF file version of your gameshark/codebreaker ect... and launch it from USB/memcard
to launch files off a usb stick, or to copy from usb stick to your memcard, you will need to launch uLaunchELF.
the mass drive is your usb stick.
simply copy an elf file to your usb stick, put it in your ps2, run uLaunchELF, select mass drive, select your elf file and press x .. it will launch.
