Timesplitters with ESR?
I am trying to convert Timesplitters (1) to DVD for ESR use. Has ANYONE successfully converted this game. If so, How? I have realized that this game is very old and that I may have missed out on any solutions posted here as I have searched these, other forums, and even google and come up with zilch. I am asking that someone please turn over the rock.
For the record, I have tried standard conversion tactics to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

Did you tried the ESR-GUI, with different settings?
Thought I read from ffg itself, that "Timesplitters" isn't running (Yepp,... old game... Hopefully, he will see this and can give a statement.).
I have it here and will test my PAL-Version, if I get a DVD-R. ^^

No necessarily needed edit,...

Thanks for the reply T. No, I didn't try it with the new ESR. I looked at the changelog for ESR and didn't really see any upgrade worthy fixes. Maybe I will give it a shot. Anyway, The problem with this game, and possibly one of many, is that I DVD scanlite finds no calls. No DVD checks are found.
I did some RESEARCH, I know you guys like to hear that word, and tried to find the checks myself meaning I searched the SLUS and the .img (hex workshop) for all of the known DVDChecks and found this in the SLUS :01 00 10 24 2D 10 00 02 at offset 0001D4B4. Looks a check, right? well, that is not it and if it is, that is not the only one.
I ALSO tried searching for a table in the SLUS. I tried based on all variations of the LBA positions (converted to HEX) of first file in the game. nope. So then I tried searching for all variations of the LBA positions of the SLUS itself. nothing noteworthy. So, How does one go about determining that the game execution failure is the fault of protections, or ESR? Seems to me that there isn't a infallible way but, I could be wrong.

Hm,... Maybe the ESR-GUI could help ya.
Try Spoof-Media-Type-Option "on".
Try to convert your CD to DVD simply, by using the "Ultra-ISO-Method".
It only needs 7 clicks (there's a german tut, couldn't find an english one yet...).
There is no faster way, to convert a PS2-CD easily to DVD.
Just ignore the media-patchs.
Btw.: I'm not sure, if it has fixed LBAs.

@jvhellraiser: My post was for "xboxmods2977".
I have a "Capcom vs. SNK-Game (was it SNK 2? Not sure,...)".
I do not have "Maximo".

Ok, I just tried TimeSplitters (One of my previous DVD attempts) with ESR 9B Gui and still no go. It flashes the colors that it is supposed to, and hangs at black screen.
Exactly the same results I get with ESR 9a.
Anyone know where can I find the german UltraISO tutorial? If it has pictures I can follow it, LOL

A good and short tutorial is on "ps2tools.de/ps3-tools.de/wii-tools.de".
Did you tried "sync-mode" on or the option, to turn off ESR after first IOP-Reset?
I believe, it might have static LBAs or it is incompatible. :-/

LOL, I went to check out the tutorial but I can't read German, and yep I did try toggling the options but they made no difference.
It looks like I will be playing this game from HD only as I don't like the idea of burning this game to CD and destroying my laser.
