Newbie question[help needed]


I need some helper to answered my question about ps2. This is about noob question. Im using ps2 slim v18 scph-90005 ntsc-j. What i need to know is:
1) is there my ps2 have operating system?
2) what is the latest firmware version of ps2 released?
3) can i update my ps2's firmware?How?
4) is there my ps2 have a laser usage limitation?How much?
5) if i use my ps2 for other usage like watching movie or playing music,is there my laser will broken faster?
6) can i know how to take care my laser?
7) please i hope someone can give me the list of the ps2 version from v1 to v18(latest)
I HOPE SOMEBODY CAN HELP ME TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS THANKS

2) wtf?
3) no.
4) no two are the same
5) yes
6) clean it when it bogs down
7) it's all over the net. a quick search will yeild what you want.

Thanks for help bro. How to clean my lens?Also if i touch my lens,my lens will be broken faster or not?

get isopropyl alchohol as close to 100% as you can get. then use a cotton q-tip to clean it. This way you are not touching it but it cleans it thouroghly.

you clean it by doing light circular motions on the lense and then use the dry end the same way to finish. works great and I've had my laser since 2002

DO NOT use air-duster on it. I can't stress this enough, but it will ruin your laser.
