Need help setting up hdd for P2

Hi, This my first time doing this. Ive reading everybodies comments on how to. But thiers to many things im seeing. Im tring to use an IBM hdd 46G. I have almost all the programs HDL,HDAdvance,SwapMagic3.6,USBExtreme,MagicDVDRipp erandCopier,1ClickDVDCopyPROv3.0.1.9,I also down loaded WinHiip off the site.What format dsc do i need to get so the PS2 can see the HDD or is there anything else i need.

it wont show up in the browser only the offical hdd will show up

make shure the hdd is set to master and fomat it with WinHiip and it will show up in hdl and other stuff like ulaunch make shure you format the right drive

before i format with winhiip does the hdd have to befully cleaned out?

Hello owtlaw, I performed a full disk erase with active kill program. Reformatted HDD with out an OS. I peformed a format with winhiip. But the HDD was set as a slave in my PC so i can perform the task. I Went and put the HDD in the PS2 and the hard drive wasn`t reconized. I went and put the HDD back in to the pc and it didn`t see the HDD. What did i do wrong?
