SCPH-50002 HELP==> Solved! New Question??

[Hey again as you may have noticed, i posted a thread before this, with my 2 problems, Now SOLVED, lol...... i just removed the CD/DVD Drive, eject gear etc. so now i have an empty space inside my ps2, now... my questions are:
-i want to place a external hard drive inclosure + HDD into the drive bay, is this possible?

-if so does it need a external power supply or are the HDD's USB powered?

-What software do i need?

-And could someone briefly explain the process of doing this?.... (If its been done before)

Once Again Thanks so much for your help!!!!!

(p.s. Mod can delete my old thread if they want, it is no longer needed....)
