TNA Impact problems

I saw a thread about TNA Impact not working with ESR, but I have a messiah 2 (I think) modded PAL PS2 and I cant get TNA Impact to work.

Same problems as others when you select the area you get the red screen on death. Does anyone know how to get around this and get it to work.

I have tried different patches etc all without luck and problem happens on both the PAL version and the NTSC version. I cant even get the original working on my PS2, the same problem happens if I turn off the modchip the original will work though.

well the downloaded games wont work and even cannot be discussed because they are pirates games get the original game

I have tried to backup the original as well and it didnt work. Even the original wont work with the modchip turned on.

But you don't say if you have tried running the ESR patched disc (using ESR obviously) both with the chip on and with the chip off. If the original works with chip off, then there is a good chance that the ESR backup disc will also work that way.

Since the ESR patch bypasses the disc authentication you don't need any modchip active to launch such a disc. All you need is some way to launch ESR without the chip being active, and that method is provided by FMCB.

Some few games are still incompatible with ESR for reasons yet to be determined, but a lot of reports of incompatibility have also turned out to be false, caused by badly burned discs etc, so I recommend that you try it yourself anyway.

TNA Impact is buggy as hell. After some time one of the wrestlers will stop moving. It also freezes completely at random. Happens for me with HDloader (no modes, or it will freeze before the match), ESR with a patched disc and even with the original disc on an unmodded PS2.

that game does work with esr just not very good. friend of mine made a backup of it, patched it with esr patcher and played it on fat ps2 with fmcb 1.6

I can confirm this as well.. TNA does work with ESR.9b.. Doesent matter if you use the off version or not.. Still same resalt..
The game just bugs out at random..

Plays just fine thou on HDLoader..
