Making backups with Nero
how do ye backup ps2 dvd games with nero

With Wizard
1. Start Nero, Use the Wizard (for easy use)
2. Select "DVD" then select Next
3. Select "Copy a DVD" then select Next
4. Select your source drive
5. Check OFF "copy on the fly" then select next
6. Select your write speed
7. Select either "Test", "Test and Burn" or "Burn"
8. Press "Burn" to begin
This next way is without the Wizard
1. Start Nero, and select "File" then "New..."
2. On upper left side of the window from the drop down menu select "DVD"
3. Select "DVD Copy" Icon
4. Select "Copy options" tab
5. Check OFF "copy on the fly"
6. Select source drive and read speed
7. If needed Select "Image" tab to choose image directory and select/deselect "delete image..."
8. Select "Burn" tab and choose your settings
9. Press "Copy" to begin

I've edited the title and made this a Sticky to assist others who use Nero rather than PrimoDVD or RecordNow.

Be wary of Nero as if it finds an error on the dvd it will continue to finish writing the file even if it has to fill it with zeroes or something.
I could not find a setting for this.
Recordnow Max has an option to do this but i could not get it to work instead it come up with an error all the time about the faulty dvd which is what Nero should have done.
Hope this helps somebody......

Am I getting this right. Can use use a DVD burner to make a copy of a DVD PS2 game, without patching. I can borrow a DVD burner. Is it worth a try???

ok, i dont have a dvd burner, but i got a dvd drive, and i got Nero , how would i ripp the game to burn it to a CDR from the dvdr?

May I make a suggestion? If you want a PERFECT iso. of your dvd game I suggest you give DVD Decrypter a try. It is by far the easiest way to backup any PS2 dvd game, and it's totally FREE!!

has anyone had a problem with nero not finalizing dao with +r media. Copied 6 games on -r and everything was great, got +r for x-mas and now have 6 more coasters.copies entire image then can not complete dao. same brand of media memorex-r 4x and memorex+r 4x. any suggestions. have a i/o magic 8x +/- r +/- rw drive.

Somehow DVDdecrypter has worked like a charm for us Swap Magic user...it can make 1:1 copy of DVD base game perfectly...well not always but I trusted dvddecrypter...

i just upgraded from Nero 5.5 to Nero 6.. now i cant seem to copy my games! when i place my original disks it says read error.. help..
