SMS player reading video off Ubuntu 8 2nd HD

I iahev Ubuntu 8 install and windows file sharing is enabled (i think) and i and trying to connect from my ps2 to the shared HD i have in the PC.

when i got in the settings of SMS (in the ps2 SMS > network setting > SMB Server ) i can see that HOSTPC is available but SMS still doesnt connect to this shared HD.

Its a second HD i have, only videos are on this HD, the OS is installed on the first HD

Is there a way to get this to work, it seems pretty close to get up and running but i justcant figure out what is wrong exactly . it might be the ip settings but im not sure since im new to ubuntu


Is there any1 that would know how to make this possible?

or maybe there is a tutorial somewhere i could follow for this exact task ?
