HD Homebrew Project Bug Reports

Here you can report bugs found using utility released by HD Hombrew Project team.

- Fonts rendering issue.
This problem is known, my gsKit lib is already "patched" to avoid this problem.
But my "patch" is just a temporary solution, and don't work perfectly.

Best regards

Polo

Hey Polo, I just tested v1.07 on my brother's ps2 (which is a V7 with a old Libertador chip with no MC or NA) using a 64MB VMC on mass: but I kept getting a error that no IMG file was found on the game's disc (tried with a lot of games).
The procedure was this: Boot ULE from a CD, run HD_gui.elf from mass:/HD_gui.elf, set up the VMC path, insert the game disc when asked.

On my ps2 (V5, MI 1.91, NA+Maxtor 120GB HDD) using the same 64MB VMC on hdd: many games ran fine (one exception being Ookami (U) that didn't boot locked up on the Loading game, please wait screen).
Procedure: Boot ULE from DEV1, run HD_gui.elf from host:, insert the game's disc when asked.

So basically I got two problems:
1) HD_Gui doesn't detect any game disc. This issue could be related to the old chip (booting ULE from the CD could be locking it or something) but I'm not sure and I can't test using DEV1 or DEV2 since the chip doesn't support it.

2) Ookami (U) doesn't work with.

If more info is needed lemme know.

Did you try without auto-open tray option ?

Best regards

yes but the same thing happened, but now i know it's not a problem with HD_Gui cuz even before i launch it, i have problems with ULE:
when i browse to cdfs: i can only see the contents from the disc that booted ULE, doesn't matter if i put another cd, dvd or no disc at all

that's the problem with very old chips i guess

Yes, for the case of that old 'Libertador' chip (that I never heard of before) there is probably nothing we can do about it. If it won't recognize additional discs after bootup, then that's just a limitation of the chip, and only the experts on that chip can tell how to fix it, if that is even possible.

As for 'Ookami' being incompatible, like you mentioned earlier, that's probably just how it is. There are several games which for various reasons don't work with VMC emulation. In some cases there is something about how they use the MC that simply doesn't work with the emulator, and in other cases there is some problem with IOP memory usage which crashes the game. (eg: "FFX International")

Best regards: dlanor

It's Okami by Capcom indeed (SLUS_211.15), Ookami is the jap name, I got it mixed up.

And you're right, it worked for me now
Dunno what happened before since I did the same procedure then.

Hi, Now I'm booting my HDP with dev2 boot mode directly from HDD, but the program can't read PFS partitions, and can't load the CNF correctly and can't do anything related to HDD partitions.
So, I don't know what it's really the problem, it can't make the +VIRTUAL_MC Partition too, so I did it manually with uLE HddManager and manually create the Config and Memorycards folders.
It works only once, and it didn't work never else.

Hey.

There is a problem in reset iop procedure of HDP, and that's why you cannot access HDD correctly.
I'm rewriting parts of the application to solve this problem, and other.

Like i say in developpement thread, i think the new version could be ready in a week or two.

Best regards

Polo

Error -6

Here the VMC that give the error.
VMC created OK
Copy save with ULE from MC to VMC
Use the save from VMC with the game
Browse with ULE v4.28 again and

" 'Mount vmc0:' for "mass:memorycard0.bin" Result=-6"

VMC include.

***edit***
Should I have post this in the ULE forum ?
