Pal > NTSC

Got problems with my PS2 and PAL DVDīs.
I have a PAL machine and live in Brasil where we got NTSC on the TV system.
I had a DMS3 in my machine but couldnīt play NTSC filmes here so I changed to a Matrix Infinity chip instead. Now the NTSC DVDīs works great byt PAL DVDīs works like they wher filmed in slowmotion by someone with parkinsondisese (not making fun of people with desesea here but I just don]t know how to explain it in a good way). PAL games aswell as NTSC games and DVDīs works great.
If I change to PAL in the setup the PAL DVDīs works but I have no color...
What to do? Any suggestions? This is driving me

Wait a minute. How can you play PAL on a NTSC TV? I have a NTSC TV and NTSC PS2, but when I put in a PAL DVD disc it says TV System doesn't match. I can play PAL games fine. What do I have to change in the MI settings to make it play PAL DVDs?

They do have PAL in Brasil but itīs a messed up system that is some sort of clone between PAL and NTSC. PAL with the NTSC amount of lines. I have tried but it still doesnīt work as it should... I get no color if not choose NTSC in the IM settings.

Then I think it's a ps2 problem. I don't understand how your ps2 can be a mixture of pal and ntsc. =/

The machine in it self is made for the PAL system. But Matrix Infinity is great in converting and not only emulating as my old DMS3 did. I do therefore get a output that fits the TV here when choosing NTSC in the IM setting. Donīt ask me how itīs done but the Matrix Team have managed to solve it somehow.. Now I just want to be able to play PAL Dvdīs on my PS2 aswell...

One solution for my problem may be an external PAL to NTSC converter.. (http://www.cngtek.com/Browse_Item_De...p/Item_ID/1054) Have anyone tried one and can tell me if they work good or not?

Brazil uses the USA monochrome TV system (M System) with an modified PAL color encoding. hence the name PAL-M.
By what I know a PAL machine (without any modifications, but the disc must be for the matching region or region free) can read NTSC DVD videos fine but the video will go out in NTSC. That is not possible if the disc is PAL and the machine is NTSC.

Basically games for Brazil must be NTSC because our TVs are 60hz ... lol

"Poxa cara PS2s PAL sao um saco de usar poraqui ... Pega um PS2 americano ... hehe"
"Hey man PAL PS2s are just trouble here... Get an U.S. PS2 .... hehe"

Btw I never used the Infinity on 50hz machines so I don't really know the details on how it behaves on them. And I try to stay away from 50hz software whenever it's possible.
