are you sure you upgraded with the full firmware and not the homebrew??
otherwise I would double check your wiring especially the bios pins

Danny

Double, even triple check your CDVD wires, and make sure they are correct 'cause that is what it sounds like to me...

Genuine Infinity Upgrade Failed

I have installed a genuine orange dot infinity to a v4 pal syaytem today. Went to upgrade the firmware, got the message " Upgrade Failed".

I also notice that the only way the ps2 will boot originals is if the eject button is held for 4 seconds ( as you would do to upgrade the chips firware), if the console is switched on with the reset switch or if the eject button is tapped, the console does not display anything.

Has anyone any ideas?

Cheers

Check that your CD/DVD wires and the BIOS wires are ok
Then I would shorten your ground wire (unless its already short)

if you still have problems email the matrix team, they will give you some help

regards,
Danny
