Infinity RSOD

I've just installed a MI and am getting a RSOD. I've installed a ton of them before and never had this problem.

V10 PAL - I've double/triple checked all wires - the H wire is connected as well.

Original ps2's boot fine and display the MI logo (v1.38). PSX games boot as well.

ps2 and psx backups give the rsod. I've tried changing the chip - same problem. also changed all the wires - no luck either

already tried adjusting the laser as well.
can anyone give me some ideas?

DOH!!! - apparently I didnt check the wires as well as I thought I had. The damn B wire was in the wrong place. In the process I think I toasted 2 mod chips. I put the B wire in the correct place, still the RSOD. Then I changed the chip again (3rd time) and now its all working!!

The original location of B was to the left of where it should have been (www.gstimports.com/psx/error.jpg - the red dot) - does anyone know where this point goes? Will it damage the chip?
