Xport/Sharkport Icon Crippler patch released

Once applied to the UK/US Xport software or the Sharkport this handy patch will allow you to backup game saves and keep the correct icon, no more xport icon woes from now on

Now if there were only some way to send Codebreaker codes to the memory card like the Sharkport. That would be great!! Codebreaker needs a easier way to put codes on the memory card all that joystick movement, there has to be a easier way? I bet someone here knows?

Well the Sharkport can save saved games from your pc to the gameshark/action replay 2 dongle aka ps1 memory card? But the codebreaker is in a different format/encryption and Sharkport/Xport is for gameshark/action replay 2 to use codes for Gameshark and Action Replay 2 format/encryption. Hope that makes sense as I'am quite tired.

Shartport only supports PS2 memory cards, not PS1 memory cards (I haven't tried tho). Just clairifying. Also, its functions are: save [magicgate] ps2 mem card saves on the PC, sending the saves from pc to [magicgate] mem card, updating ONLY ar2/gs2 dongle codes (very handy). As far as I know you can't ues it to put saves on the dongle...I wrote that cause Dew-It was right when he said his post might not make sense...

Thanks goes to the makers of this patch. I much prefer the icons of the normal saves to the stupid X's. Its bad enough its just a spinning picture, but when they all look like that for a while... I also tend to use the sharkport a lot, since I have many games and only 1 mem card

Ok you can use it to put game saves on the magicgate memory card. The black dongle with Gameshark logo is ps1 memory card, this what I have read here before in these forums. The Codejunkies website also has code saves for Gameshark/Action Replay 2.

where can I get sharkport v2.05Beta software I can't find it anywhere?? ps2savetools.com doesn't even have it.

I believe you can apply that patch to the SharkPort software found at PS2 Save Tools, give it a go and let me know if it works

the file on ps2savetools.com says it's version 2.04, not 2.05Beta. I downloaded it, installed it, and tested - it want patch. (Says wrong version, or file already patched)

I need the 2.05Beta

Just use the US Xport software, I don't see why you have to use the SharkPort software

I prefer sharkport software, because I know it's going to be 100% compatible with my sharkport and I like the colors better

I should have mentioned you must use the patches on the downloaded Xport software only

JiggamanX, what error are you getting? Are you patching a downloaded version of the software?

i think i know the promblem, i uploaded the gamesave befor a patched. im using a downloaded version.
