A minor point but it will get to a few people: Why couldn't the letters convention used in essence by the Magic and Messiah crew have been perpetuated here?
We will have alphabet fest in the coming weeks!

I guess they just had to be different!
You shouldn't change it if it works ( I always do but anyway)

V8 is a v7 jack. And yes I agree, the alphabet change pisses me off too. Why the fuck couldnt they have kept the same letters, I mean i have to clean my mind of old chips and get used to it all over again, thanks for your consideration DMS, yeah right. And also I think they messed up on the v1 "O" point. I think its 1 pin off, "o" is the A equivelent, and thats the wrong point for that.

I think they are just trying to be different since the points are the same they changed the names. What I think Im gonna do is change all there diagrams to have the names that every other chip has used for the points then Ill host it, maybe they will give in and change them aswell afterwards.
Edit: Ahh wait, damn bastards, they put the letetrs on the PCB itself, that wont do then. Well lets all fuss to them, its not too late yet to change it.

All of the install diagrams with the exception of v8 are now up on the site. Whoo hoo, they are still pretty much useless until the chips comes out to at least some reviewers/testers

Well, it looks like it is time for this n00b to pull out that old 486 mobo and do some soldering practice.

Let's hope the DMS3 people listen to their customers and installers. It would make the install go alot smother if they used the standard M2/magic names. May even save some misinstalls. This sholdn't be difficult to do unless they have already produced their fist batch but can be remedied on next run.
So how about it DMS3 team? I'm sure you are following this forum.

It looks like this is a good sign that they are in touch with the scene. I agree that redoing the letters is a tab bit unnecessary, but it would at least make installers of habit less likely to do absent minded mistakes. At the very least, this little documentation tweak lets folks know the project is somewhat still in progress even though updated docs are still useless without the actual chip even being out.
With hype and anticipatition behind this thing, some people are just hungry for any info they can get. I wonder when they officially announce the release day whether or not they would have enough quanitities to ship that very day.

Hey, if we didn't complain, then they wouldn't make it better, right?
One curious thing that I saw was that they use the Eject line for certain functions rather than the reset line.
