Hmm, unfortunate. I wonder if they had much product already manufactured?
But for their good news
"You can now use the Datel "Mega Memory" 8/16 memory cards as you would a normal memory card"
That is damn sweet.

yeah, really looking forward to this thing, i have that 16 mb card, and i don't use it really atm. this thing might get me to use it again
anyway, it'll take another while now, but hey, better a good & working product with a bit of waiting than a bad/not working (correctly or 100%) product...

If you are holding your breath waiting for this chip...just shell out $35 for a magic3.1 for now. From what they say, all the features this chip has are just shiz and giggles compaired to what magic3/messiah2 have.
Its not like the messiah1/magic2 delay disaster here...its just a better chip from what is currently out. My conclusion: if they delay too long, they won't have any market left.

i think that until the end of the next year there will be a lot of market, when the first previews of ps3 shows up, that's it, the market for ps2 will be slower

well atleast they're showing progress which is always a good thing. I predict the DMS3 to be in April but prolly June for the chips to be available to the major of people. I just hope the price isn't too steep and that there will be actual competors so that it will force them to improve AND keep prices low.

I got my Magic 3.1 for 25$ at www.mods4less.com. That will keep me busy until that chip get released. But they lose alot of sale by delaying like that, most of my friend that were planning to buy a DMS3 got tired and bought a Magic 3.1 or Messiah 2 already and they have no plan on changing this chip for a while.

By the way.... Did anyone notice that the installation diagrams were online in ZIP format for Version 5,6 & 7...
If that's old news to you... discard this post... otherwise, go run there: http://www.dms3.com/diagrams.htm

I would rather see them take the time and get it right. I already have an XO-2/v7 system to play with, so I can wait for this chip to mod my v4R.

at 80$ for not too many extra 'visible' features, i dont think it'll sell out as well as we're thinking.....
experienced ps2 sceners are mostly the market, not too many newbs would pay that much for something that they wouldnt use.... they'd go for a magic 3.1 just because of the price (then pay for it later)

Common, Magic 3.1 ain't that bad. I actually love it. But when review for that DMS3 will surface, I bet I will get a new chip But 80$ is a little expensive like you've said and I'm curious to see how many people will really buy one.

This n00b is gonna be buying a lot of them.
I was just in contact with the wholesale department of Diveno and they said the DMS 3 is likely to ship in 10 days...that puts it around the 19th of the month. I guess we'll see if that is true or not.
