PS2 DVD Problems?

Length or just not a SW person? I guess I can check to see if my laser is up to snuff in a day or 2... You guys think its just a super-high bitrate or just 'one of those [two] discs'? I'm aware that SWEP2 is dvd9, since the dvd-r ver was ds'ed. And I'll take this time now to ask if anyone else has had PS2 DVD probs where the Music is MUCH louder than the speech - and in games too. Why did Sony have to use the absolute crappiest laser?

i don't have the star-war-crap dvd but i received my LOTR special edition and it works with no problem.
I tested the 5 dvds ( 2 for the movie, 2 for the extra like behind the movie and one apart from the national geographic...)
my ps2 model is a V7

Ahoy! My V2 ps2 with neo2.2 has run every DVD I've thrown at it so far. LOR included. I was gonna rent SW this weekend as I was too cheap to shell out 8 dubloons a piece for me, the missus, and me little ones to see that movie in the theater. Arrrr

on a different note, my ps2 is having trouble playing a dvdr backup of kingdom hearts. only loads the damm thing one in ten times. all my other dvdr backups work perfect including ffx? i got a new copy of the game and that is even worse. i have been told that the game loads fine on my friends ps2 any thoughts as to changing the laser? i have a v4 pal ps2 and was wondering if i get a new laser will that help? the shitty thing is that all my other backups load perfectly everytime

I am a Star Wars Fenatic myself. I cant stand to sit through these high budget POS movies any longer, I dont even consider them to be StarWars movies.

Star Wars. Big fan of episodes 4,5 n 6. Episode 1 and 2, I found to be pretty dissapointing. The story is ok (except for Jar Jar and that anakin amidala love story), the movies themselves seem to be below par. I just like watching these prequels to see "old" characters and their histories. Whoever that guy is who plays anakin, damn he can't act considering he's supposed to be an actor.

Just to note, SWEP2 works on my friend's old v1, as does his LOTR dvds.

I think I saw the Triumph vid in front of SWEP1, it was when they had a Spock-impersonator walk by flipping everyone the bird. As for bad acting & bad parts of the story, the love scenes, pod-racing & 'bad emotional acting' actually gives more meaning to the older characters; no excuse for Jar-Jar. Anikin was supposed to be portrayed as on the verge of break-down [for a Jedi], and shows why he went bad. It all does work out...
