To verify what was said about the features of the chip being similar to the messiah they are -

Boots all PS2 games directly (imports and any backup) without swap
Boots all PS1 games directly (imports and any backup) without swap
No Action Replay 2 or Gameshark 2 required

Are there actually 4 different versions of the chip? Or are they just talking about the jumper settings on the one chip? Also, I see that it says the 39001-R console is supported no problem etc. Has this actually been verified? I cant wait to see the results of this chip as they arise. Thus far I have been seeing bad gouge about it (precisionmods) but then again in the same sentence he said that China-Messiah wouldnt sell to him if he carried this new Blue chip. (So I am looking for an unbiased opinion and review)

Hmm. Not so sure about that Gaz. Anyhow, I'm testing the Magic 2 for another forum and it works, of course on the v5. Serious testing tomorrow of deeper functionality and I'll direct yous to the post when it's up. We're also mapping the pin voltage levels and what triggers the signals.

The magic 2 operates at 3.3v in the core and 5v on the data buffer chip and the outer functions of the larger IC. I'm surprised to find only 7 data lines on the CD/DVD Controller and am currently unclear as to what W does. Maybe the trigger research will reveal that.

But it works.

The v5 NTSC (US/C) console was tested by someone esle. And it works.

I tested it on the PAL v5 (the NTSC PS2 is old JAP).

Got cheat codes working with AR2/2.0 as well - someone reported that it didn't work.

Seems to be the answer to Messiah class US v5 requirements.
