Trouble installing backups to HDD
Trouble installing backups to HDD
So I managed to get through all of the HDloader installing to MC stuff, which was quite a trip but anyways, I have a fliptop, and swapmagic on my fat ps2, I don't know what version it is and I don't know if it matters but when I load up HD loader, put in a valid ps2 disc and hit install the only thing I can do is name it and then it installs it and I have no time to switch out the disc to put in a back up that I burned, when is the right time to put in the back up? I bought a IDE to USB cable that will come in a few days/weeks but i'd like to figure out how to get the burned games I already have on my hard drive.

why not just install the ps2 HD to one of the IDE cables in your computer and use winhiip?

HDL won't work with non-retail games, unless you have a chip. You can use winhiip 1.6, or HDLdumb, both available at sksapps. I recommend using winhiip with the drive attached to your PC's IDE cable. If you are installing more than 2 games it will save you a LOT of time. Installing through USB-IDE is about 10x slower. Just make sure to read the tutorials, you don't want to accidentally format your C drive into PS2 format and screw up your PC

i could of sworn people have said it could load back ups, that's super lame man. I suppose even though I just spent 5 dollars on that USB to IDE, that I could unplug my disc drive's IDE cable and plug it into the ps2's HDD... shit man that's 5 dollars wasted, that's lunch money *sigh* and yeah I don't think I'd want to format my H drive ( For some reason I have an H instead of a C, I have no idea why.) to a ps2 drive, that would suck, thanks a bunch big bro big help.

If your Backups are ESR-Games, you could install it directly through HDL, but if it are 1:1-Copies, do it as said before with WinHIIP.
You didn't waste your money, if it is USB 2.0.
It is/might (possibly, or probably) slower than on internal-IDE, but it is an easier handling.
