downloaded hdlpatch_08c doesn't work
I recently downloaded the hdlpatch_08c.exe and went to run it in dos to patch a clean hdloader.elf and it doesn't work. It also has a different icon than any of the other older versions have. Does this version require a gui to work? Everytime I go to run "hdlpatch_08c" in dos I get some weird error. This doesn't/hasn't happened with any other version I've ever downloaded from here. Also, I looked at the source for 08c that is also available to download and it says 0.8b in the source...

patch a clean one to .8b leave it unpacked then patch the .8b to .8c with the one patch. Then you can pack it.

If you get the following application error " The procedure * could not be located in the DLL CC3270MT.DLL" when using HDL_Patch by Zer0-X, then you need to find a copy of this file CC3270MT.DLL and place it in your C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP) or C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows 2000) folder, etc. Is this the error you received? If not, please post the error message.

That is exactly the error I received. Any certain place I need to look for that file, or is it easily findable?
Thanks for your help

I don't think I can link you to the file or upload it here, since it's a Run Time Library for Borland Developer Studio owned by Borland Corporation. But if you just type in "CC3270MT.DLL" in google search, you should find it right away in the first site it finds. Someone correct me if I'm wrong if it's ok to upload.

Just out of curiosity...Why do I now need this file( CC3270MT.DLL) to use 08c? I never needed it with any other versions of hdlpatches. Also, as mentioned above(by Bootlegninja), how would I apply the 08c to an elf (unpacked) allready patched to 0.8b? Exactly what commands? I tried that as well and got the same error.

@Chad_Edward: I'm not sure why Bootleg wanted you to patch over an already patched version of HDLoader, because as far as I know, you can't patch an already patched ELF of HDLoader. I tested this by patching a clean unpatched HDLoader ELF with the v0.8b patch (no compression), then repatched the patched v0.8b ELF with the v0.8c patch and there was virtually no difference in the files when viewed in HEX.
The answer to your question about needing the CC3270MT.DLL file is here (they used borland to compile the patch). Just scroll down to post #1962 by thereal_zap, and you will find a copy of the v0.8c patch compiled without the need for this DLL file.

Thanks, I went to download the 08c that doesn't require that one file and the computer warns me of a virus or malware, so I didn't download it...

What anti-virus are you running? Just so you know, I have been using that same v0.8c patch for over a year now, and haven't had any problems. Not all anti-virus programs will detect the same file as a virus. In this case, your anti-virus is incorrectly detected this file as a virus when it's not (a.k.a. false positive). Just out of curiousity, I scanned this file uploaded by thereal_zap by this site http://virusscan.jotti.org, and all virus scanners reported no virus in this file. I'm sure if there was a virus, others would have reported it by now.
