Games installed for HDLoader will also work with ToxicOS, so you should be able to use the same 'HDL_Dumb + hdl_dump + hdld_svr' combo that is normally used for HDLoader. I too have a DMS4proSE with ToxicOS installed, and ToxicOS can 'see' and launch all the games I've installed for HDLoader, even though none were installed through ToxicOS itself. So games installed by WinHiip with HDD connected to the PC also work fine.
This may seem surprising at first glance, but not so much when you consider that ToxicOS is just a later version of HDLoader, developed by the same guy who created the original.
But despite this compatibility you should avoid setting any of the special compatibility flags in the HDL installation tools, since the patched HDL versions extend the set of flags with flags that are incompatible to the ToxicOS usage.
Original HDL only had three compatibility bit flags
ToxicOS adds only one to the original set, making a total of four flags
Patched HDL adds five to the original set, making a total of eight flags
But as long as you don't set any special flags during installation there should be no problem, and you can always set the flags you really need inside the ToxicOS GUI.
Finally you need to consider whether you really want to use ToxicOS, or if it would suit you better to instead use HDLoader, like I do. While it is true that ToxicOS is compatible to a few games that HDL can't launch, not all of those claims are true.
eg: It is impossible for me to use ".hack//INFECTION" in either ToxicOS or HDLoader, even if I let ToxicOS do the installation. So that claimed superiority of ToxicOS is just bogus propaganda, even though it is true of a few other games. But I understand that HDLoader also has patches for some games that ToxicOS can't run, so it evens out in the end.
Btw:
Surprisingly enough ".hack//INFECTION" does works fine with USBAdvance, except that some sounds are sometimes missing. (like the shouts from various 'grunty food' creatures)
In any case, you do have the freedom to use both HDL and ToxicOS at will, to suit both your personal preferences and the needs of the games you want to play.
