Does anyone knows the location of MCMAN.IRX in a clean HDL/HDA?

I just need the offsets.

It's in the PS2 BIOS. If I remember correctly, HDL just uses the one from the BIOS "rom0:MCMAN". It does not supply it's own version.

Hdloader doesn't load the memory card modules at all.

Isn´t it possible to create and load a modified MCMAN.IRX, that patches the IPRPRxxx.IMG on the fly, or replace it, when the game loads?

Has anyone still developing HDLOADER?

It seems the new Iron Man game won't run on it. Pal or NTSC versions.

Any help?

Did you try with virtual memory card?

There is no need to change HDLoader anymore, it’s more likely that you will succeed by modifying the game image or use the vmc loader to hdloader, then launch the game.

Is the file IRONMAN.A2M an ELF file?
I believe somebody with the time and effort will have to read through SLES_551.98 using a ps2 disassembler.

That question does not belong in this thread, nor even in this subforum, and the same goes for the long discussion about the 'Ironman' game in the earlier posts. That belonged in the subforum about HDL game compatibility, while your VMC question belongs in one of the subforums to the homebrew dev forum (several subforums there deal with VMC issues).

Best regards: dlanor

Why not take a look in ps2dis or a Hexeditor?

crazyc explained in a post directly after that one that HDL doesn't load any mcman.irx of any kind be it internally, externall, or as an x-module from teh bios. doesn't happen. also the post quoted was from well over a year ago, so i'm assuming his curiosity was satified on this subject a while back

Exactly. You hit the nail on top.
I know now much more, how HDL works.

Back in the days, if I remember correctly, it was a question because of VMC-Support.

Did you use CD-Stop-Fix and NoDisc-Fix at once (don't know, the exact name yet)?
