Noisy Ver12 Ps2

Hi my slimline ps2 is making a loud rubbing /grinding noise,

its coming from the spindle motor assembly,

does anyone know how to clean between the bottom of the spindle and

board (or even if It can be cleaned), Cant seem to find the answer anywhere

The only answer I've found so far is to change the whole laser mechanism

I´ve just had a customer that called me with the same problem.
I´ve opened it up and checked the motor and that was the fault.
So just buy a new complete laser with motor and of you go!
(you get a laser for later use!)
