Hallo guys,
wanted to ask how necessary "Laser Diode burn Fix" is?
I have V12 with Matrix infinity(greendot) and summ0ne's (thanks ^^) laser fix,
but no "Laser Diode burn Fix"...
Can i leave it like this for now, or should i get Diode burn Fix ASAP?
ps
i still have 1year warranty from the modshop where i bought it, so is it worth to contact them now and ask for Laser Diode burn Fix?
thanks

there is still no laser diode burn fix available for v12 only laser coil fix...as i know no one is working on that issue coz' v12 is not longer produced and laser burn issue is fixed by $ony since V13...

And here is how to fix it : "Works for V12 AND V13!"

it definately expands the life time of the diode but it's not a REAL fix...the post is from july 2005...things changing a bit in 15 months...now we know so far that there a 2 kinds of mechacrash...
a mechacrash what burns the coils and a mechacrash what burns the diode...
but who cares ? i don't have the time and motivation to discover old things over and over...$ony is now at PS2 V16 and PS3 is coming what's much more interesting NOW... :-)

If you have a true V13 then you do not need to perform any form of laser fix.

Like the above post says.......IF IT`S A REAL V13 NO FIX!
And when it is a SPU3170 also known as "Wide" the fix doesnīt work
The laser goes "pop" after awhile but itīs just to run the lenschanger program
and make it a PVR802/KHM430 after that and all probs are gone....
That the only laser that I have customers that have "burned out" not worn out..
in V13
