TOXIC OS 0.41 = ok
HDL 0.8a1 = no .but

It is a machine translation of the translation software.

In the thing reported to have done the HD start success with front
Sre
Everyone freezed it by the combat when trying by reactivating now.
Please understood a complete start method since it thinks, and it is
easy and test for a moment.
It only starts simply by a controller (Saturn pad in case of me) not analog.
Then, start confirmation of everything though experimented three times of
combat not freezed by this perhaps making it to the street because it is
said analog controller tie first.

Though it has been reported to work successfully in the previous thread, restarting the PS2 only led to the one result: the game would freeze with battles.
I've now figured a method to get the game to work, it's easy so if you could, please test my method too.
Simply, the game works when you're using a non-analogue controller (in my case, i was using a Saturn pad).
As well as using a non-analogue controller, it is said that at the beginning the analogue controller is to be connected, so you should do so. This way, the game probably won't freeze. I can confirm that it all works, but I've only tested this method 3 times.

Ok I'm trying to make sense out of all this. So, start game with non-analog controller, then switch back while the game boots up?
update:
tried PS1 controller, popped up an error that it needed a Dual Shock 2. On the way to 1st battle, tried to disable the analog, no go. Tried to insert a PS1 controller, error popped up. Seems like you can't play this on HDloader w/o having a PS2 controller that doesnt have analog support.

I got an idea, can someone come up with a ARMAX code that disables analog control?

You can request this here http://www.codemasters-project.net/vb/ , they are into this kind of hacks.
But I don't get it, can you give us the sources of first post? What is the exact translation?

You need to use a ps digital controller to start hdl and game.

I can confirm this does indeed work. For my test I had a Nubytech Street Fighter digital controller laying around...so I loaded HDL and the game...switched to dual shock 2 controller when prompted to and the battles would not freeze anymore. Thanks to those who posted the 'trick'.
