Mode 3 makes it work for me on a V7 PS2 with HDL 0.7c.

Works for me too on Mode 3 but sometimes it freezes, maybe im the only one with that problem?

for thug2 disabling the uab patch helped freezing issues

so you could try that

Mine is freezing all the time

I did mode 3 with disable uab and have only had a couple glitch errors. I had a level load into nothing, and a save crash, but have played it for hours without issue.

Turn of all the music tracks and use mode 3... I've never had a single error.

Mode 1, Mode 3 and UAB patch, and NEVER freezed. Played for 5 hours now.

Oh, and I had Mode 3 and UAB patch, with this modes freezed. Now with Mode 1 doesn't.
