Use patch below to fix PDA bug, I got it from my friend so I don't know where is the source.
1. Create ISO
2. Open the patch, choose PS2 PAL-> NTSC PATCH ROUTINE (NO Y POS) and browse to the ISO
3. Choose "Patch", that it

Use a MDMA0 patched Hdloader, loading time wil be a tid longer but no more random hanging while opening the pda.
I'm using Hdloader0.7c mdma0 patched with a PAL system, and game is working flawlessly with no mode enabled, no patch... straight the iso.
Have fun.
See you

Nice work!
Maybe it's time for a new HDLoader flag?

mdma or udma cannot be set by flags. You need to hexedit or use that hdl gui to patch hdl for mdma or udma.

I know, I patched mine months ago.
I mean that as more games need mdma or udma it would be nice to have a flag in hdloader to patch on the fly for these.

More threads brought back from the dead by the annoying new member! Useful though...
I enabled MDMA0 on OPL0.8 as it seemed to be in the same vein as the above discussions and this seems to have done the trick. Whenever I open the PDA now it works! I have tested it in all the locations that it used to hang (I noted that there seemed to be a pattern of standing in a certain spot, hitting select and the game would freeze) and it hasn't glitched. The load times are now also a bit slower giving time to read the blurb before a level starts, another minor gripe of mine.
MDMA0 also makes Virtual On from Sega Ages run a little nicer too, the announcer lady doesn't say two things at once on the pre bout screen, allowing enough time to check out the opponent's robot and stage map.
As the last post of this was 2006 I'm sure this has been covered or sussed out before, but I hope it is helpful nontheless.
