Are there supposed to be problems with PAL games on US consoles? I'm having some.

Some games that are PAL are doing this to me lately. Namely Cold Fear locks up and now Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (GER - SLES_534.17) won't start, either..on Mode 3 it hangs at the intro loading screen at the bottom right. CoD2 was put on Mode 3 as it should be and these games aren't rips.

This leads me to my question;
Is there a problem with running certain PAL games that require Modes Enabled on U.S. consoles? Could it be because I have certain video fixes enabled, or could this be a bug in ToxicOS? Has anyone else experienced this before? The games were transferred to the HDD via FTP with hdl_dumb.exe 0.8.3.

Could tinkering with UDMA/MDMA fix my problem?

There is a new version of hdl_dump server 0.8.3 on the homepage:

WARNING: As previous server contains a major bug it is mandatory to upgrade if you plan using hdl_dump for game installation! Unfortunatelly, any game installed with 0.8.3 server could possibly be already broken. Sorry about all the trouble :-(

Maybe that were the cause of your problems...?

Interesting, thanks. I wonder to what extent the game is broken..I've updated my elf, hopefully it'll work out in the future.

I'd like to know to what extent it corrupts the games, though. Maybe that doesn't apply to my situation..I've transferred plenty of other games and they've worked fine. Problem may lie elsewhere..
