    It doesn't work like Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection because it has official HD support which interferes with HDL.

    If the US version has the official HD support removed by Capcom then maybe that will work but not the JAP version, for now anyway.

    Here is the file list for the JAP version:

    Code:
       0FLIST.DVD                               1 KB   15/12/2004 01:57:58 AM      r

    Holy ****, it's exactly the same list as Vampire Darkastalers collection.
    Did you try the game with the brand new Hdloader patches from Crazyc?

    I got this info from another forum, i'm gonna try it later on, i have a matrix chip so i don't know if it's gonna work, and the hdd must be no bigger then 128 gb;
    You need a DMS chip to get a ATAD patch for your regular HD and then install through the game's INSTALL feature. This leads to slowly installing the game (it will take about 40 minutes. Thats how long it took for Metal Saga, but it loads at game speed so you don't mess up your Laster at all). Then it works like a HDL Cd, you just put in the game, it starts up the game, BUT doesn't read off the DVD instead reads from HD. You just need the game IN the tray (never know when it will checkto authenticate). This is a solution to this game. I hope this helps those are looking for a way to play off HD. All credit to Davion for making me aware of this method for Metal Saga and now this (and perhaps Dirges of Ceribus).
    Steps:
    1. You need to go to DMS Chip set-up screen. For DMS4 that uses toxis BIOS or OS, you will need to press square button when you start up your PS2 Enable ATAD-auto-patch mode, reset your PS2
    2. Start up Metal Saga game, normally there will be only 2 options "New game" and "Load Game", if you did step 1 correctly, you will see "HD Install" as third option
    3. "HD Install", and just wait until finish
    4. From this point on, when you play, the game will load everything from HD, the disc is still required when you enter title screen (exit game, start game, etc)

    Does it stuck at 0% or it continue to copy the game to hgard disk?
    Then did you manage to play it? It's just a feature, you can install a part of the game off HD just like Resident Evil Outbreak but you have to play it from the disc. Since you have burnt the disc you should be able to play, then could you upload a game save, I know some games will booy if there is a saved game on the memory card.

    It wouldn't install any further but, i had previously erased some "useless partitions" off my hdd to gain some space but infact they are needed to install a game based on the original hdd. So i had to reformat my hdd and now i'm trying mssaga. See picture if that's working i'm gonna try SFZG.
