i already had the old snes station on the hdloader but i still needed a cd/dvd with roms in the drive. does the new snes station still look for roms in the cd drive even if it is installed on hdloader? And if so, is there a way to patch this like the way u genius folks patch the hdloader, or is this something completely different?

The new SNES Station will do the same as the previous one, but will look for roms from the USB & MC in addition to the CD drive. So you can still use you CD to play from. Or just copy roms to your USB & play them from there.
AS for patching the snes, no that wouldnt do any good. To patch it, you would still need to install the patched version to the HDD. So just install the new version as if it were patched. Or just use uLaunchelf to load the emu from the usb or mc.

It dont matter where you launch snes from, it will still be able to look for the roms from CD,USB & MC.

As far as i know theres another person who is trying to get a working beta, but hasnt produced it as yet. Havent heard from him since the end of July.

Hiryu stated many months ago that he is making an all new emu with hdd support & better graphics. But he also said he has other more important things i his life , so if he has time, he would resume work on the new SNES Station.
