Sims 2 Pets PAL

Freezes on inital screen (has diamond in the middle). HDL 0.8b Hope someone can fix it. Appears to be shrinkable from 3GB to 1GB.

OK Y-fix causes the game to freeze. So I adjusted the screen from the in-game options. Works fine on Mode 3

ive got the PAL version, im using it with HDL 0.8b and it works fine until i move into a house, then the scree freezes while its loading (the diamond thing) any suggestions? ive tried a few times and still the same problem
