This is a JP only release so far.

But my question is if it's compatible and if so, which modes would I need?

Yes, it's compatible. Can't remember modes, but i suppose no modes needed.
The game is great btw, played it for weeks, tons uf unlockables, cool modes, great graphics and animations.
