according to people @ ps2hd this game doesn't work. i guess we have to wait for patch or newer ver of hdl. On the other hand, reviews are pretty harsh so no need to worry

Was hoping this game would work.
As for crap reviews, that may have been long ago but ive been seeing nuthing but great reviews and hands on thumbs up. Remember Al Pachino gave up the Godfather ps2 role cus he was working on this game.

Looking at the files i see its just a few. 14 to be exact.
Interested in the SOUND.RCF (1.55 GB!) file for some custom music hacking that i like to do.
Doesnt look like theres any RCF unpack/packer around. ;(
Hope for a patch cus this game is what GTA somewhat sought out to be.

Them bad reviews come old previews all the way back to 2004 and on:

Hands on pre-reviews (updated demos) are out now for many big gaming sites. With improvment compliments already in place, the early week (or weeks) before release is getting ready for a full hands on review.
I know this works like this because i use to sell movies and got them one week before their release dates.

The game cant be bad because as time went by i have read they really put alotta work into it.
Unless the critics for pre-releases or Sierra Entertainment goofed on their own hyped talent then the game prolly does suck.
What the hell ill go play it off the DVD and get me a self preview.

Game is great. Just played for a few and i like it.

After like 6 splash/intros you can chose to either get to the game or go through a quick tutorial guide.
Starts at the ending Scarface where the huge gun war takes place at his mansion. Great lil preview mix with clips from the movie.
Wont ruin the rest 4 ya.

Few annoying things:
Music cant be toggled within a vehicle. You have to access the menu and choose your genre, single track or customize them.
Voice actor for Tony isnt Al Pachino but someone who exagerates to much on Tony's movie lines and consistant voice accent tone.

Most annoying of all (might upset a few ppl here):
Cubans and Colombians do not talk mexican.
Sorry i grew up here in NYC and frequented Miami since old old school 78' They do not use words like "puto", "chinga", or "ese".
The accents is totally off and so are the words.
Find it almost insulting that they would think theres no difference between us.

Not saying that mexican accent/language sucks but it just cant pass off as Cuban or Colombian.
They done the same shit with the Warriors game (another old school fav) where Puerto Rican gang Hurracanes talk mexican while PR Salsa plays in the background.
Please dont take it the wrong way but i get pissed when shit like this happends.
If you was italian and the game was based on italians i dont think you would like Michael Corleone have a british accent saying "You broke my bloody heart".
Its nothing agaisnt anyone but im getting a lil pissed off this shit.

Other than that the game is very good. Give it a 8.3 out of 10.
