Rouge Trooper is compatible.
Haven't tried steamboat Chronicles yet.
Does the PAL version of Rogue Trooper have a selecter for the different video modes (i.e. NTSC)? TIA.
if anyone can test out steambto chronicles that would be awesome
@sk3tch: Yes, Just press up and X.
Steambot is ok on HDL 0.7e w/ mdma, no mode.
I didn't try w/ udma.
are they any good? they both recieved a bad rating at gamespot (i consider anything below 8/10 to be bad).
They're aveage games. Good for a couple hours.
Steambot is actually pretty cool but a bit hard to play and get into to.

Personally, I'd say renting for both, though if you really like relaxing exploration games then Steambot may be a buy (think Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, etc).
Rogue Trooper is a (I think) quite entertaining FPS with some interesting premises. It's fun, but can be finished in a few hours with not much replay value. There IS a multiplayer mode, but I'm unsure whether the on-line community will be there long term for multiplayer.
Steambot Chronicles really appeals to me because it's an open-ended "sandbox" type of game (like GTA minus the language, sex, drugs, blood and lethal weaponry)If you like the thought of a fun anime-style game where you can roam about choosing what to do for hours on end, then this game should be a lot of fun for you.
There is mech customization, commodity trading, music games where you can play a variety of instruments, mech arena battles, etc.
You can choose to be good or bad (based on your responses to other characters and whether you join a gang at a critical point in the game) so there are multiple play paths.
What I've seen from the demo gameplay is that it's not really stressful, more of a chill-out, collect and explore game. Get the demo CD first and see if it appeals to you! It's definitely not for everyone.
