The game works and all, but my controller is flipping out. I can't move the prince because the contoller makes him go left, anyone know anything about this?

The game works and all, but my controller is flipping out. I can't move the prince because the contoller makes him go left, anyone know anything about this?
For some reason it started to work when I started the game with no controller plugged into the 2nd controller port.
