I think you're confusing ToxicBios with ToxicOS. ToxicBios is just a mod-chip firmware, much like you have in an MI chip (though different, obviously).

ToxicOS is something entirely different. It is in fact the latest version of HDLoader that exists, developed as a new, renamed, and separate project by the original author. He has added many new features, emulating drivers that the old versions ignored, thus gaining compatibility to some games that will not run properly with any patched variant of the old HDLoader. (well, at least not yet... )

So the reply MegaBUD gave was in fact relevant to your question, though it did not answer it in full, as you obviously want results for normal/patched HDLoader as well.

toxicOS is indeed for dms chips. It's just that the DMS4 has version .41 or whatever.

Yes, that's correct, but it's not just a normal firmware. ToxicOS is an application similar to HDLoader, but newer, and running only on a DMS4pro chip.

It's not a replacement for the ToxicBIOS firmware, which is also needed, but only a chip-specific application added into that same chip's firmware. Since it only runs on the DMS4pro chip, users of the regular DMS4 chip only get ToxicBIOS, but not ToxicOS.

Sure, I've done that too (and btw: I do have ToxicOS), but for FF12 that is no longer needed, as the latest patch allows it to run with HDLoader.
So now there is at least one game that can run under HDLoader, but NOT under ToxicOS... (reversed roles )

    Best regards: dlanor
