Has anyone tried this on HDL?

please post results, and i'll do the same.

Works fine no modes needed. All in Japanese though, so I can't play it.

You can play it without knowing Japanese, although a bit hard.

Also, run this game using the slow HDLoader. It works using the fast one but you can't complete the minigames that are on the loading screen that gives you items(press O to time with each footprint to get blue fangs).
