ok im stupid

after reading 30 pages of posts,etc. im more lost than before, what i have unmodded ps2,160g hd, 48b patched hdl, working fine, faplink, ive tried to send gt4 to hd,keep getting black screen, using retail ntsc version,dvd dec., im lost in all the updates,patches,etc. etc. etc., could someone point me in the righat dir? thx

You simply need a straight dvd9 iso and then boot it using hdloader with the dual layer patch....

Have never tired this before. Are dvd9 iso just like dvd5's? just use decryptor and it will put both layers into the iso?

which patch? i used the one on the first page of the gt4 topic! ive got a 5gig iso, thx

Just use HDL 0.7b and use DVD Decrypter to make an ISO of GT4 then use HDL_Dumb/Dumb to FTP (real slow) or stick the PS2 HD in your PC.

it worked like a champ, i just replace my hd elf with a fully patched one, used winhiip, worked first time
