This is a bit of a strange problem so please bear with me.
I have a PAL PS2 and I play my games off the hard drive, but I prefer to play NTSC games as they run at 60 FPS. However, certain games (God of War for example) have a huge black bar at the bottom, obviously this is not desirable so I tried to fix the problem. I eventually discovered that booting a swap magic ELF, selecting NTSC mode, and loading a pressed copy of HDAdvance, then from there booting God of War, actually solves my problem.
This is great except I'm now relying on my almost dead laser. So what I'm asking for is a way to force my PS2 into NTSC mode (the same way Swap Magic does) without having to boot from a disc, and instead boot from something else, preferably off the HD but MC is fine too.
