Does this eliminate the need for rebuilding ISOs for use with HDL and HDP? Also, why does it use HDUS_ instead of the normal prefix's(such as SLUS for NTSC-U I believe)?

Couldn't USBMCEmu be rewritten to parse a config.txt file with the IRX module and game ELF instead of needing to hexedit USBMCEmu and rebuild the game ISO each time? this method would work with ESR backups.
Run ESR to get access to the CDVD files then run USBMCEmu with uLE to load the game? this method wouldn't work with HDLoader though because USBMCEmu can't reload HDLoader and then get access to CDVD files to launch the game but it'd useful for people wanting to have game saves save and reload from mass with ESR backups or originals.

I'd like to know if this. I have already patched MLB09, but I have one game in particular that I never could figure out how to patch correctly.

The game I'm talking about is War of The Monsters.
It has partial HDL compatibility with HDL .8b-c. The game will only work in single player mode, and not in 2 player mode. I'll see if this patched HDL will make 2 p mode work.

The game that actually got this method discovered was Twisted Metal Head-On. I believe it was someone on console exploits that accidentally figured out this made that game work.

The features are similar to the use of usbMCemu, only increases the compatibility and all the processes taking place within the games (ISO) are automatic. This patch is able to increase compatibility in HDL, because it maintains the protection LBA 100%.
Therefore, incompatible games by LBA protection, can work to apply this patch.

Tried using this patch on Kingdom Hearts(NTSC-U) and Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon(NTSC-U) and all i get is BSOD. Tried for HDL(.8c) and ESR(r9b all ELFs), all gave BSOD. With ESR, not even the colors show up, it just stays black.
Both of these games(without the patch) work via both HDL(.8c) and ESR(r9b).

I soon realized that there is no point in trying to boot the patched ISOs, after I noticed that the file HDUS_xxx.yy which is generated to replace the normal boot file (named after the game ID string) is not a valid elf file.

The boot file used in the BOOT2 directive of a SYSTEM.CNF file on a PS2 game disc should ALWAYS be a valid elf file, in order to ensure a proper boot.

As the file generated by this patcher is not a valid elf file, I don't see how this method could possibly work for any game at all. Surely there must have been some fatal mistake in the preparation of this release.

    Btw:
Not that it matters at this stage, but it would be better if the spelling was corrected from "Parch" to "Patch" in all english messages, as the english word "Parch" has an entirely different meaning. But of course this will only be of importance when the patcher works correctly, using a proper elf file for the BOOT2 directive. Until then it has no real chance of working right anyway.

    Best regards: dlanor

I noticed this after the fact as well. If you try to boot the game through uLE it flat out tells you that HDUS_xxx.yy is not a vaild ELF file. I'm no programmer so I don't know if the problem is in the code that was used to make the ELF or if somehow the patcher is corrupting the Elf somehow.
It would be nice to have a patcher that could patch ISOs for use with HDL/ESR and HDP. If I'm thinking correctly, that would remove the need to not only rebuild the ISO's but it may also make HDP worth using for those games with hidden data such as the Square-Enix games. Hopefully this patcher will be fixed and become usable, or another patcher made.
