Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear on the problem. What I meant was, is there any way to put just UMK3 on the HDD? MKA works just fine, I'm having the issue with UMK3.
Uh, yes that is what I'm using it on right now.
Just extract the files off the MKA Premium disk, that kidman64 post in his pics. Edit the system.cnf file as he has shown in his pics. Then rebuild to new PS2 iso and transfer via WinHIIP or HDLdumb. Please check forum on iso rebuilding as this thread is for the specific MKA related probs and general rebuilding threads exists here already.
the easiest way is open the mka iso using ultraiso, then delete the unnecessary files, delete system.cnf and insert the new system.cnf and save the iso
thats what i did
Inside a MKA Premium Edition archive, you will find two ready made "shrink kits": the one is the shrinked MKA (3.50 GB), the other is UMK3 (125 MB). Install the two images on your HDD with the mode 3.

Wait I dont' see the UMK3 there?
Thanks for the help, everyone. but I still cant get it to work. I tried burning to disk and using hdhandiness/winhiip/hdldump and nothing worked.
Nice link, MaPomme. Don't see UMK3 on it though.
Oh well. I guess I'll just keep using the full disk with SwapMagic.
Same answer. The reference, here, is MKA Premium.
