    So whats the deal?
You guys are suggesting 1 untouched install for mka, and then another with the edited cnf file to load up umk3?
How big can umk3 be? could you just run the elf off ulaunch or something?

theglow: uhm, no. i said that it's really easy to make an iso (like buvk said, around 120MB) which will only have umk3. and it works fine.

Ok. I know how to edit isos...
Im the one that put capcom fighting evo, marvel vs capcom2, capcom vs snk2, sf3 3rd strike and sf2 hyper fighting on one dvd.

I was just wondering about it having trouble getting to mk3 on the disc.
I had the opm demo for guitar hero 2. if i installed via hdloader, it would try to access the disc for gh2, which obviously isnt there. yet winhiip, then it played fine. So who knows.
    Id rather have UMK3 anyways.

    kidman64 is the Man!
Thanks for sharing that info on the needed rebuild. Works Great!

    theglow:
I would like to know if it would be possible to make a multigame DVD for all the MK games on the PS2. I have MK-UMK3 on three different game disks. MK is on the Deception Premium Disc, and MK2 and 3 are on a Midway Treasures Collection. Could I just follow a tutorial somewhere and just replace the appropriate files like you did on the capcom fighters compilation you did?

Thanks again for the help guys.

    urbigbro: thanks
yeah, i thought about that as well, and i even tried that.. no luck;/
i used mk1 from deception, mk2 and 3 from midway treasure something 2 and umk3 from armageddon. it's not easy because only umk3 uses separate elf file, rest of them is somehow "built into" the game itself. i tried copying them, and even editing some files but i failed. i used some software that is said to work with dvdrips put into one dvd but none of the mk's worked for me. i hope someone else will have more lucky

Thanks! This works great with Swap Magic.
But does anyone know how to make this work with HDL? I've tried using winhiip to put it on the HDD and it didn't work. Also tried to put it on from disc (by swapping at the "Insert Disc" screen) and all I got was the "Not A Valid PS2 Disc" message. Any ideas? Thanks in advance :-)

hdl_dump and mode 3 (but umk3 will not work that way)
